FAQ

Everything people
ask before booking.

The questions that come up whatever device you have. Device-specific ones live on each service page.

Price and paying

What's included in the price?+

The price you approve is the price you pay. Travel inside Kehä III, the materials, the labour and the 90-day warranty are all in it — there is no separate call-out fee and no markup on parts. Diagnostics are free whether you go ahead or not.

Do the prices include VAT?+

Yes. Every price on this site is what you actually pay — VAT 25.5% included is already in the number, nothing gets added at the end. If you need an invoice for a company, say so when you book and you'll get one with the VAT shown separately.

How do I pay?+

Bank transfer against an invoice, or cash. Payment is due once the work is finished and you have looked at it — not before. There is no card terminal and no MobilePay, so don't count on tapping a card at the door.

Why does it cost that?+

Three things you are not paying for: rent, parts markup and a call-out fee. There is no shop, so no rent sits in your bill. Parts are bought wherever they are cheapest and passed through at cost. Travel inside Kehä III is already in the price. What is left is the hours and the materials. And the arithmetic is worth doing: a PS5 clean at €89 every two or three years, against a console that costs about €550 to replace.

Booking and timing

How do I book?+

Call, WhatsApp or Telegram — whichever you would use anyway. Tell us the device and what it is doing. Most of the time we can say what it needs and what it costs in five minutes, and agree a time in the same conversation.

How fast can you come?+

We agree a time on the call. We work every day, 09:00–21:00, including evenings and weekends, so there is usually something that fits within a few days.

How long does the work take?+

Console or MacBook clean: 1–2 hours, done at your table while you wait. Gaming PC: 45–60 minutes for dust only, up to 2 hours if the graphics card comes apart. MacBook battery: 1–1.5 hours. Controller stick: 1–2 working days, because that one is bench work. PS5 HDMI port: bench work too, and we agree the day when you book.

When do I find out the price?+

Before anyone sets off. You describe the symptoms, we give a fixed price, and it does not move — unless we open the device and find something different, in which case we stop and ask you before doing anything else.

Coming to you

Where do you work?+

Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kerava. Most maintenance happens at your home or office, on your own table — the device never leaves your home and you never lose a day to two trips.

What does travel cost?+

Nothing inside Kehä III — it is included in the price of the work. Beyond it we add €0.50/km and only travel for work that is already agreed. If we come out and no work happens after all, the trip is €12.

What if I live outside the area?+

For small things — controllers, and a PS5 HDMI port — send it by Posti. Postage is at your cost both ways, and the day the repair is finished it goes straight back in the post. Message us first and we will give you the address. For anything that needs us at the machine, we will tell you honestly whether the trip is worth your money.

The work itself

Will I lose my games, saves or files?+

No. A clean, a thermal paste change and a battery replacement do not touch storage at all — your games, your saves and your files are exactly where you left them. The one exception is a Windows reinstall on a PC, which you would be asking for on purpose: there we back up first and you check the backup yourself before we touch the system. Keep your own copy of anything that matters regardless — nothing important should live in only one place.

What if you can't fix it?+

Then you do not pay for the work. Diagnostics are free either way. If the device turns out not to be worth repairing once it is open, that is our problem, not your bill. And if we cannot reproduce the fault at all, we do not charge — there is nothing to charge for.

Do you have to open the device?+

For a clean or a paste change, yes — that is the job. Dust packs into the heatsink fins and under the fan, and compound that has dried out has to come off before fresh compound goes on. Blowing air through the vents moves dust around inside the case; it does not remove it, and it does nothing at all for dried-out paste.

Warranty

What warranty do I get?+

90 days on the work itself. MacBook battery replacement gets a year, on both the battery and the labour. On top of that, replacement parts carry the statutory two-year consumer cover under Finnish law, and new components keep their own manufacturer warranty.

Does opening it void the manufacturer's warranty?+

Yes — Sony, Microsoft and Apple all treat an opened case as a voided warranty. If your device is still covered, go to them first and we will say so if you ask. Most of the machines we see are years past it, which is exactly why this work is worth doing.

What if the same fault comes back?+

Inside the 90 days we fix it again at no charge. That is what the warranty is for, and it covers the work we did — the compound, the pads, the assembly.

About us

Who actually turns up?+

Andrei. The same person who answers the phone, quotes the job and does the work — there is nobody to hand you off to. Twenty years with hardware, over 2 000 devices since 2017.

Are you a registered business?+

Zamiralov Media Oy, Y-tunnus 3442578-7, registered in Helsinki. VAT-registered, invoices available, and Finnish consumer protection law applies to everything we do.

What if I need to cancel?+

More than 24 hours before the visit: free, no fee, no questions. Less than 24 hours or a no-show: 50% of the booked price, because the slot and the trip were reserved for you. Illness or an emergency — tell us and the fee is waived.
