Is your laptop battery
done?
A laptop battery wears out with every charge cycle. Windows can tell you how far: run powercfg /batteryreport in the command prompt and compare Design Capacity with Full Charge Capacity.
The charge drops visibly while you watch, and a full battery no longer lasts a meeting or a lecture.
The laptop switches off with charge left on the indicator — the worn battery can't hold its voltage under load.
Unplug the cable and it goes dark, or Windows reports the battery is not charging.
The touchpad lifts, the bottom case bulges or the keyboard bows. Stop using and charging the laptop and call us — a swollen cell should come out, not stay in.

How much does a laptop battery replacement cost?+
From €119, depending on the model. The calculator on this page gives the exact total for your laptop: the battery, delivery and the work. Diagnostics are free and you pay after the repair.
How do I know the battery needs replacing?+
Run powercfg /batteryreport in the Windows command prompt. It saves a report that shows Design Capacity (what the battery held when new) and Full Charge Capacity (what it holds now). When the second is far below the first and the laptop no longer lasts the day, it is time.
My model isn't in the calculator.+
Send us the model and, if you can, the battery code printed on the battery. We look up the right battery and tell you the price before anything is ordered.
Where does the battery come from?+
From iFixit's EU store. The calculator shows the name of each battery and whether it is new or used, and the price is checked daily.
How long does it take?+
The delivery of the battery sets the timetable. We order it for your model and agree the repair day with you once it has arrived. We don't promise same-day repairs.
Will I lose my files?+
No. A battery swap doesn't touch the drive, so Windows and your files stay as they are. Still, keep your own backup of anything important.
Do you come to me?+
Yes. We come to your home or office in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa, and travel inside Ring III is included. We also go to Kerava and further out, at €0.50/km. You can also bring the laptop to us.
Is there a warranty?+
We don't give a separate time-limited warranty: under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act we are responsible for defects in our work and in the battery we fit for as long as the repair can reasonably be expected to last. If the fault comes back, tell us and we fix it free. Details in Terms §7.
