How often should I clean my gaming PC?+
Once a year for normal use, every 6 months if you have pets or smoke indoors. Dust accumulates on heatsink fins exponentially — once the fins are 50% blocked, every additional millimetre raises CPU/GPU temps by ~3°C and the fans have to spin much harder to compensate.
Is repasting the GPU risky?+
Modern GPUs are designed to be serviced — every cooler comes off with 4–8 screws and the manufacturer expects pad replacement after a few years. We use ESD-safe tools, take photos at every step and replace pads with the correct thickness for each board model. €30 of risk insurance compared to a €600+ card replacement if you DIY without experience.
Will this void my warranty?+
On the case, motherboard and power supply — no, opening the side panel is normal user maintenance. On the GPU specifically, removing the cooler voids the manufacturer warranty (typically 2–3 years). For cards out of warranty, our re-paste service is the most cost-effective way to restore performance. We provide our own 90-day warranty on the work.
Do you work on custom water-cooled builds?+
Yes — AIOs, hard-tube and soft-tube custom loops. AIOs we clean and reseat as a standard service. Hard-tube custom loops we drain, refill and rebleed only on request and at workshop drop-off — that's a half-day job, not on-site.
How long does the service take?+
Dust removal only: 45–60 minutes. Cleaning + CPU paste: 1.5 hours. Cleaning + CPU + GPU paste: 2 hours. We work on-site at your desk — no need to box up the tower.
Do you come to my location?+
Yes — most gaming PC cleanings are done at your home or office across Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kerava. Travel is €12 within the Kehä III ring, €12 + €0.50/km outside. Workshop drop-off is also available.
GPUs and CPUs
don't grow back.
A neglected gaming PC ages 2× faster than a clean one. Once the silicon degrades, no amount of fresh paste brings it back.
Sustained 90°C+ on CPU or GPU degrades transistor health over 12–18 months. Boost clocks become unstable, performance drops permanently.
VRAM and VRM pads on the GPU harden and lose contact. RAM modules thermal-throttle, GPU draws more power for the same FPS.
Hot air recirculating in the case bakes the PSU caps. PSU lifespan halves, and a failing PSU can take the motherboard with it.
A €159 cleaning today prevents the €600–€1 200 replacement when the GPU finally cooks itself. Prevention is always cheaper.
