From a hobby in 2003 to a formal service in 2017. Over 2,000 consoles repaired across two countries.
I built my first gaming computer. That became the beginning of a lifelong fascination with hardware that, fourteen years later, would turn into a full-time service.
My journey as the owner of a console repair service began in 2017. It wasn't so much a business decision as a natural continuation of an interest I'd had since 2006 — building gaming PCs and working with hardware. Console service felt like just another direction I genuinely wanted to develop.
Created a public group on VKontakte. The name was descriptive — search-friendly, before SEO mattered to me.
It happened almost by accident. I cleaned my own PS4 Pro, then a friend's, then a friend of a friend's. Word of mouth picked up and the process became unstoppable. April 2018 brought one of the first paying orders that can be called the real starting point of a service.
The main audience by then was PS4 owners, so the brand sharpened around PlayStation. MOPS started as the initials of the Russian name of the Saint Petersburg shop — «Sony Console Service Workshop». In Russian, those four initials happen to spell the word for «pug» — and that happy coincidence is how the friendly little dog became the brand's mascot.
Over the first five years I serviced more than 2 000 gaming consoles. Across all platforms over 500 reviews came in during the Saint Petersburg years — fewer than ten were negative, which wasn't an accident.
“Service quality is more important than speed, because I wanted people to come back and recommend us further.”
Completed soldering and laptop-repair courses and passed the master exam. This expanded the range from console cleaning to laptop battery replacement and motherboard-level repairs.

Started modifying the first two PS4 Pro revisions with a clamping plate borrowed from the Xbox 360. The mod compensated for a known engineering flaw in Sony's APU mounting and made the console run noticeably quieter — one of the most rewarding fixes of that period.

Started fixing DualShock 4 stick drift. Today we do the same for DualSense on PS5.
Started cleaning the first PS5 consoles using a no-disassembly method that preserves the factory warranty.
Order volume crossed the line where one pair of hands wasn't enough. Stas joined and helped carry the workload.
After moving to Finland I handed the Saint Petersburg service to Stanislav and began rebuilding here. In Joensuu there were practically no orders — one local shop already handled the small demand well.
Started planning a properly registered Finnish company.
Late 2025 the service is fully running across Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kerava. The goal is a modern, honest, technically competent repair service that competes with established shops not on loud promises but on the quality of the work itself.
